For centuries people have been ingesting natural apple cider vinegar, otherwise known as apple cider vinegar with "mother" as a health tonic and natural remedy. This is not the clear filtered vinegar you find in the grocery store; it is rather cloudy looking vinegar that you purchase in health food stores. It is created from fresh apples that are put through a fermentation process to create the final product, which ends up containing numerous vitamins and minerals your body needs. The "mother" part of apple cider vinegar is made up nutrients and minerals that will settle in the jar like sediment, so be sure to shake well before consuming.

The health benefits abound, such as: helps reduce cholesterol, eliminates acid reflux, fights fungal and bacterial infections, relieves joint pain, supports strong bones, aides in weight loss, and also prevents sinusitis, hair loss, brittle nails, hair and teeth. It also produces an alkaline PH level in your body which reduces inflammation, and keeps your body healthy. A recommended dose to begin with is one teaspoon diluted in 12 ounces water. If you aren't a fan of the taste, add a teaspoon of natural honey or some lemon juice. Truly, it may just keep the doctor away.

Loving the Run
  • Running is so simple.
  • Pay close attention to your form.
  • Have fun!

Running is one of the simplest types of healthy activity you can do. You don't need a gym membership, you don't need expensive equipment, and you don't need special clothing. There is, however, expensive equipment and clothing that you can buy for running, but if you don't have the money or inclination, all you need are feet and legs to run (and sometimes not even those).

However, don't let the simplicity of running fool you into thinking all running is the same. There is good form, and there is bad form. Bad form running may lead you to injury and pain that can steal away all the fun that running can be. So, here are some quick tips for running form that may help keep the pain away.

Warm up - Warm up with a brisk walk for 10 minutes before running. It gets the blood flowing and muscles used to moving.

Short strides - Take shorter strides, it requires less energy and muscular involvement helping to maintain your energy longer.

Foot placement - Try to land each step midfoot or on the balls of your feet. When you do this your feet land under you instead of in front of you. It may take some getting used to, but recent studies indicate that it may cause fewer injuries to runners.

Keep the back straight - Leaning too far forward or hunching over requires more energy while running than staying upright and balanced. Distance running is about maintaining energy and dispensing it in measured amounts.

Practice barefoot - Recently, barefoot running has become the hot topic in running circles. Barefoot running requires your legs and feet to function in ways they are not used to when shod. If you are new to barefoot running, take it very slow at first and do plenty of research. However, for short distances barefoot running on soft ground can teach you a lot about proper form in shod running. Go to the local school track, park, beach, or long stretch of soft grass and try running a few sprints. You will immediately notice that you stop landing on your heel, start landing midfoot or on the ball of your foot, your back will straighten up, and your feet will fall below you rather than in front of you (like heel striking). If you can find this form while shod and follow the other tips listed above, you should be in for a fun time running.

Take your time, be patient, have fun, and be sure your doctor understands what activity you are interested in taking up.

No love is Love that subjugates the Lover. No love is Love that feeds on flesh and blood. No love is Love that draws a woman to a man only to breed more women and men and thus perpetuate their bondage to the flesh.

The Overcomer do I preach - The Phoenix-man who is too free to be male, too sublimated to be a female. As in the denser spheres of Life the male and the female are one, so are they one in Life's rarer spheres. The interval between is but a segment in eternity dominated by the illusion of Duality. Those who can see neither before nor aft believe this segment of eternity to be itself Eternity. They cling to the delusion of Duality as if it were of Life its very core and essence, not knowing that the rule of Life is Unity.

A Stage in Time is Duality. As it proceeds from Unity, so does it lead to Unity. The quicker you traverse this stage the sooner you embrace your freedom. And what are man and woman but the single Man unconscious of his singleness and so cloven in twain and made to quaff the gall of Duality that he may yearn for the nectar of Unity: and yearning, seek it with a will; and seeking; find it and possess it, conscious of its surpassing liberty?
